Judging by the number of EU/foreign criminals in UK prisons I'd say the crime wave you speak of is here, and well established. Indeed. I would rather the government grow a pair and withdraw from 1950's legislation that says we must treat illegals as refugees, it's an absolute nonsense. But if we must allow illegals to land on English beaches I would rather the government house them the same way as the EU state of France house them, in tents and containers. Yes. “ Ghettoise” them and somehow get that information to people who want to use criminal gangs to illegally enter the UK. You think that will stop them coming? It didn't stop them entering France. Please, who's going to stop illegals entering the EU state of France? The EU lol. Monte, on the EU eastern border they have erected huge razor wire fences patrolled by armed guards and dogs to keep immigrants out of the bloc. However, the EU western border is a different matter. The EU & France look the other way as hundreds of thousands of illegals who they allowed to cross a borderless EU pay criminals to cross the channel. This entire immigrant fiasco is the fault of the incompetent EU who through Merkel invited the worlds vagrants and criminals to come to Europe, then regretted it. And of course, behind closed doors the EU and Macron will be quietly pleased because the UK must be punished for Brexit. |

Actually, I'm watching GB News and I just heard Farage say that regarding this £1,600 a month Drakeford wants to give illegals, Dominic Rabb the Justice Minister, has blocked it. I always said big Dom was a good lad.  You'd rather starve them into becoming criminals would you? As they are illegal immigrants to start with they are already criminals, which is a point everyone seems to ignore. |

What is sheer jaw dropping the arrogance of the government and the local councils who 'agree' to these plans without any consultation with the electorate who will be footing the bill, the local people who not only pay taxes they also pay council tax. The burden is on them to fund these illegals, and what should happen people should stop paying their council tax, if the government and the councils want to house these illegals let them pay for it, another council tax hike to fund illegals, where will it end?

While I agree with you about the dangers of ghettoisation, there are too many people landing on UK shores claiming to be escaping fighting and persecution. The problem is that the UK is failing to remove/repatriate those who do not qualify for refugee status. Surely it must be better to invest in upgrading the existing refugee establishments nearer their homelands, rather than lodging people here while we assess their status for remaining? The Rwanda proposal was never a suitable solution (or deterrent). Economic migrants and criminals arriving illicitly should be repatriated to their home areas — eg, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, etc… |
