Interesting to note that yet again posters make a futile attempt to blame the failings of a Conservative government upon Tony Blair and Labour. PATHETIC
During Tony Blairs time as Prime Minister Albanian migrants and asylum seekers were virtually non-existent, and in 2008 when Gordon Brown was in charge of the country, the total number of Albanian applications was 173. Last year ( 2022 ) a total of 12,300 Albanians arrived on our shores in small boats Having at least average intelligence, I accept that it is not entirely the fault of the government (Conservative Government), but I do keep asking the same question over and over again. WHY is it taking so long for Albanian asylum seekers applications to be processed, its not the fault of Tony Blair or Keir Starmer, it is the fault of David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson and now Rishi Sunak. Albania is not a country at war, there is no natural disaster, no famine, it is a stable country with a democratic government and no major issues of human rights. There should be a fast-track process for asylum seekers from such countries Blair opened the floodgates with his FOM, as usual he was doing what he was told like a obedient nodding dog by his beloved EU, we should never agreed to such a shambolic setup, Italy, Germany have had enough of it, it was a recipe for disaster, all we are getting are the dregs of society all fleeing their countries, probably criminals on the run, and they are going to all end up here in the UK, and people like you will be responsible, I hope you all feel guilty. Instead of pissing your bias of Blair on the forum, why don't you at least do some research so that you will at least give some credibility to your anti-Blair posts? |

How to deal with Albanian men who are causing you problems ... tell them that you have "friends" who you can rely on to get involved if they don't back off. I said this to an Albanian I was having problems with. A couple of days later he saw me sitting outside a Starbucks. He sat down at my table and apologised. He acted like a young man who respected me as an older man with "connections".
