They couldn't have a better advert if they paid bless em.....I can think of countless REAL Crimes the Police should be investigating Landlord at the centre of golliwogs row 'will have ''racist'' Facebook posts probed by police' - as CAMRA ban his pub from receiving awards or inclusion in their Good Beer Guide Essex pub landlord could be probed by police over 'racist' social media posts Police 'aware' of posts made by Chris Ryley, who runs White Hart Inn in Grays Mr Ryley, who is currently in Turkey, has strenuously denied being racist www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11969609/Golliwogs-pub-landlord-racist-Facebook-posts-probed-police-CAMRA-ban-inn.html

No, maybe you need to get a book to learn how to read. Those of us that can read know I was referring to intentional display intended to offend those of colour. Not think but actual anti social behaviour... In your head. But no crime was committed. No real people were offended. It's just more lefty wokery. Just because you (and the the similarly afflicted) happen to believe it doesn't make it a real thing. Sorry to break it to you. You are Andrew Edwards and I claim my £5 Feel free to disprove it by showing that you have spoken to every person of colour who has been in that pub. If you can't then you're just saying people of colour aren't real people. Aren't you Andrew?

LOL! That's not how proof works, Stevie: You're making the allegation, the onus is on you to prove it. And good luck with that given that the police couldn't. 🤣

I submit that this offence line needs to be reset radically to something far more sensible. When the police are performing doll raids, it's clear something has gone wrong.

I suggest most people would agree, but then I would suggest that most thinking people would be shocked at the level of bad taste displayed by the collection and the way they were displayed. Whether or not the Landlord is racist still appears to be unanswered. Not sure what the answer is other than the decent people in that area will and possibly already do give the place a wide berth.

I bet the world is laughing out loud at us, imagine the image of those coppers arresting teddies in pub, I bet they thought it was a April fools joke.

I disagree. I think most normal people, who weren't looking for an issue, would just see it as dolls in a pub. I can see two or three levels of disconnection between what you are seeing and what you are thinking. To me, this puts you firmly in rubber room, over-reaction territory. You hint at some kind of political qualification for owning a pub but also note that you could just go somewhere else - which is true.

I do nothing more than acknowledge some bad taste, if there were none there would be no controversy, and ask the unanswered question of the Landlord's thoughts behind the display. It isn't just dolls in a pub, it is an exaggerated display begging the question why?

The private citizen's only obligation is to the law in pursuance of his own living.

I'm reminded of a scene in the sci-fi film Equilibrium, in which someone is asked to explain why they moved items on their work desk.
