We accepted that they are not 'just' dolls decades ago when they were described as racist tropes. People of colour were called gollywogs, later shortened to wogs as a discriminatory slur. Why would we want want to go back to the 1969s/70s. Either you are too young to remember or you are being deliberately The government’s obtuse. No that was not accepted, they may have been described by some as racist tropes but that does not make them anything other than just dolls. People of whiteness were called milky bars it does not mean we ban white chocolate. Moving on from the 60s and 70s was not the problem, how far it has been taken is the problem. 😂 Milky bars 🤣 Did Black hotels have signs saying "No dogs, no Irish and no milky bars"😂 You have to be kidding. |

No. There was no referendum There was a referendum and leave won but no one knew what leave they wanted, a hard Brexit was forced on the millions of leave voters that did not want a hard Brexit. We knew exactly what we wanted dead nag. |

Did any hotel have such signs for any people, everyone says they saw them and even some pictures, the veracity of which is questionable but did they really exist in the profusion they are supposed to have been. I was looking for digs in various cities in the 60s and 70s being in peripatetic employment but I do not recall any nor do I recall any black people I worked with having a problem. However whatever the situation there were certainly no signs that referred to golliwogs. |
