Were those cases caught on camera? The camera cannot lie,I'm afraid it can. The important thing is that it didn't lie in this case. Grey can be clearly seen veering towards Ward and shooing her into the roadway.

Do get real, it shows Grey turning or being turned towards Ward as the illegally cycling Ward (the one moving the fastest) makes contact with her It's sad that Ward died as a result of her actions but this really was death by misadventure

That was the jury's verdict, and anyone who looks at the footage can see that they were right. And it hasn't been established that the cyclist was illegally on the footpath. It is just as likely it was shared. But it's immaterial in any case, as only a psychopath would deem endangering someone's life a proportionate response to a misdemeanour.

Really Whoiney? Do tell us more. You don't have a law degree, Squeaky. You don't know even the basics of jurisprudence. You worked for the Met before moving over to prosecution.

Really Whoiney? Do tell us more. I am still laughing at the dangerous criminal being locked up, as though they couldn't actually find any real ones.

But then again, according to you I'm an Irish immigrant. And apparently I told you that on a thread that you claimed didn't exist even while quoting it. Which indicates how much weight we should attach to your utterances.🤣

It's appalling and hopefully that judge is getting the sack for at least the false statements made in sentencing... Totally agree: "Shared path", my arse. There are absolutely no markings to indicate that. It's a footpath plain and simple and the judge should have directed a "Not Guilty" verdict. This is why it's apparent you don't have a law degree. The fact that the victim may have been committing an illegal act is not a defence to manslaughter. Anyway, there is nothing to indicate it wasn't a shared path (though, only a psychopath would see any significance in the issue).

The reason it wasn't a shared path was because it would be considered dangerous. It would seem the local council is still mulling over whether it was or was not a shared path even though a notice seemingly appeared at a later date declaring that it was.

Nobody but a psychopath would care in this particular context. It's clear from the footage that Grey was aware of the presence of the cyclist. She was in the centre of the pathway. The considerate thing to do would have been to step closer to the railings and continue along this new trajectory. Instead, she veered slightly towards the road. You may see something else when you look at the footage. It doesn't matter. The jury saw what I have described.

I see Darling and the plot are still astronomically distant from each other.

I see Darling and the plot are still astronomically distant from each other. Yep, just me and all twelve of the jurors, Vicar.
