How can an Albanian of dubious age step onto a Kent beach, after paying a people trafficker in France lol, and say he's a 14 year old Albanian who is claiming asylum? It's nonsense. According to the UN Albania and every country he travelled through to get to England are safe countries. Let me remind you, again. "An asylum seeker is an immigrant who has been forcibly displaced and might have fled their home country because of war or other factors harming them or their family".
Get in the bin. That's right, Red. That's exactly what an asylum seeker is. So what? The Refugee Convention gives asylum seekers the right to choose where they want to claim asylum.

1) Compare the number of asylum seekers arriving now with the number that were arriving when the Dublin Regulations acted as a deterrent. If we ended up with more asylum seekers who was deterred? A system that increases the number of asylum seekers is a deterrent - who knew.. You feeling okay, Doc? The number of asylum seekers went through the roof after the Dublin Regulations were no longer applicable.

Get in the bin. Then they will be refused asylum and returned to Albania. No they won't, some lefty lawyer at tax payers expense will launch an appeal that takes years by which time he's done two stretches in prison and impregnated some unfortunate girl which means it's against his human rights to remove him. Repeat a million times. We are idiots.

So in your opinion, Albanians are being forcibly displaced from their home country? No. They're leaving voluntarily (in most cases, at least). But everyone has a right to have their application heard, otherwise the Refugee Convention would be pointless. As Monte has pointed out, it's just a case of speeding up that process and getting them on a plane back home if their application is refused.

Public services or the lack of, are not the reason lefty lawyers at tax payers expense use the ECtHR and the HRA to ensure foreign criminals are given leave to reside, or settlement, in this country.

A criminal from a safe country has no right to apply for asylum. I accept that they do, but that's down to lunatic lefty lawyers who insist 28 year old Adil is a 14 year old poor downtrodden refugee. We are the laughing stock of the world.

We are the laughing stock of the world. Well, maybe it'll help if you think of it another way: the UK government, as a signatory of the Refugee Convention, has a duty to hear every asylum application. That's not the same thing as saying that a fake refugee has a right to asylum. He doesn't. Once the government has carried out its duty to consider the application, it can deport him if it finds he is not a genuine asylum seeker.

Once the government has carried out its duty to consider the application, it can deport him if it finds he is not a genuine asylum seeker. The Convention clearly sets out what an asylum seeker is. Someone from a safe country, such as Albania, by the rules of the Convention you're so fond of mentioning, cannot be an asylum seeker. That person is an illegal migrant or an economic migrant.
