I know that you are referring to the Scottish Secretary here, but what you describe applies at least as much to SNP ScotGov ie. there is no need to take the full on confrontational option. While the Scottish Secretary has made it clear that he is open to, and wants to find, a workable solution through discussions, the First Minister is determined to play this one out for all it is worth. Her motivation is clearly for perceived political gain, and to hell with the lives that are damaged while she obsessively pursues this. And yes, I understand that the Scottish Secretary is being accused of much the same thing, and there is merit in that claim too - so it looks like both sides have chosen the same political battleground to further their cause. |

Sunak did the right thing. What he did was legal and morally right for women. How Surgeon reacts is of no consequence, in fact the way in which the whole lot of the SNP reacts could be an eye opener for normal Scots.
