The arsehole are throwing their documents into it... And you know that, how. Wouldn't it be more sensible to destroy the documents before they leave? Some of us keep up to speed....

Genuine asylum seekers don't destroy their documents and try to hide who they are / where they're from. Albanian gangsters do. Wanted murderers do as well. Duh! Who said that Albanians are genuine asylum seekers? Fake refugees will destroy their documents. Genuine refugees often won't have documents because they had to exit their country speedily, they were displaced by war, or their documents were taken from them by the Libyan authorities (which happens a lot). |

No, however we must be aware that the current situation is tailor made for 'undesirables' and criminals to access the UK and disappear into the ether so to speak and for many to abuse the system. Recognising this is not the fault of anyone other than those criminals but the governments first duty is to protecting the British Public. If that means internment camps for asylum seekers pending processing that is just the way it is. A person escaping genuine danger will accept this inconvenience as a means to an end. If this contravenes international law/agreements then so be it. The BP come first. That's why we need a proper vetting system. How do you vet someone who lies to you and throws away documentation. |

People fleeing oppression often do not have the time to find identity papers. I'm not saying people don't abuse the 'system' but our government is facilitating that abuse by inaction. |

Genuine asylum seekers may have a lot of reasons for not having their documents, like running for their lives.😔 |

I am getting to be rather fed up with the now two tier laws in this country, I live in a rural part of the south west, we are now being told that the council will clamp down on wood burning stoves, anyone with smoke coming out of their chimney will be fined. So people who live here, work here and pay their taxes here can't even keep warm in their own homes.
Meanwhile if you come here illegally, throw away your passport and refuse to cooperate with the authorities you get a hotel, money, mobile phones and medical care.
So, untrammeled immigration, criminals running wild, money no object on the one hand, but country people burning a log on the fire will be prosecuted.
This Tory Government is the worst we have been governed since Henry VIII, There is no other option than to vote Reform UK, no option.

Freestanding woodburner with a flat top is a brilliant help to us. Easy to light, warms the room, can handle heating soup, casseroles, coffee etc during inevitable power cuts. What's not to like? The councils are trying to force us into all electric homes but I will not contemplate putting all my eggs in one basket........We love both of our multi fuel log burners - they have kept us toastie warm all winter - and for the past 10 years. The one in the kitchen now cooks most of our food once we learned the way of doing it. When it gets to be summer Im going to get an air fryer to do it instead but for now its GREAT - everyone should have one
