Former prime minister Theresa May has earned over £2.5 million ($3 million) on top of her official salary as an MP from outside engagements and gifts since the last general election, the most of any UK member of Parliament. www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-01-08/theresa-may-tops-list-of-uk-mps-earnings-from-side-hussles-sky?leadSource=uverify%20wallIt seems Theresa May is earning £millions on the after dinner speech circuit. Yes, Theresa May! She doesn't strike me as a very engaging or interesting speaker tbh. Apparently Boris may overtake her, he's pulled in over a £million since leaving office a few months ago. But I can understand it with Boris, he's an engaging speaker, he has a personality and he's a laugh. But Teresa May?

They should be renamed Armitage Shanks after dinner speeches, because most of us would have our heads down the loo vomiting.

It's probably for the dancing. Ahh right, yes I see. Indeed, embarrasing.

Earlier Ann Widdecombe was interviewed on GB News, the interviewer, Patrick Christys, put it to her that Tory MP's earn £millions on the after dinner speaking circuit whereas Labour MP's do not, he said it as if it was a bad thing that Tories do the after dinner speaking circuit. Widdecombe replied: who would pay to listen to anyone from the Labour benches? LOL. I have to say, it was a fair point.

Providing of course she could string two words together that would make any sense.

I think your definition of profound, must be very similar to my definition of juvenile, tbh.
