The Tories have spent the whole of 2022 trying to gift the next election to a Labour party more undeserving than any I can remember. Choosing one of those two is like choosing whether you want syphilis or herpes, when in fact you just want a decent hair cut.

Bit of a premature exclamation imo but if Boris loses his seat then so be it.

Interesting that Johnson is mentioned as losing a poll, that is what would have happened in earlier days. :-)

what does it matter ? If labour replace him , or the tories in government , they are merely the twin cheek of the same tory arse.
Anas Sarwar , the labour branch manager in Scotland , put more tory councillors in office last may than the scottish voters did.....

We nearly won in 2017 in spite of the unpopularity of Corbyn personally amongst older tabloid readers, the Blairite hierarchy trying to damage their own party and make it unelectable and the albatross of Brexit. And we scared the bejeesus out of the establishment both inside and outside the party who doubled down with their smear campaigns afterwards. The 2017 manifesto was the star of that election, full of policies that polled exceptionally well. Without Brexit, without the factional plotting and undermining from the party's right, and under a genuinely principled and honest leadership you could win under such policies. But you choose not to. Instead you want to take us back to the future and refight the 1997 election, in open defiance of how much has changed since then. The true centre is nowhere near where you Blairites like to imagine it is. It is much closer to the policy agenda of 2017. If you win it will be because the sheer crapness of the Tories has gifted it to you, and it will be on a record low turnout.

Boris could earn £5 million a year just making a few guest appearances and speeches. That's £4.9 million more than being an MP, so if he does lose, he probably won't cry.

You have ignored the factor of Brexit which was always going to damage Labour, not to mention the serial disunity and backstabbing from within by Blairite plotters and schemers. When I could no longer support the current leadership at least I had the good grace and moral integrity to leave. But I don't want to fall out with you in a similar fashion to the frequent discord between myself and See 2 who insists upon mislabelling everyone he disagrees with as an extremist. So maybe we should just agree to differ

Love him or hate him .. and I resent his stupid lockdowns that the people will not tolerate ever again .. at least he was elected in fairly. Kneel stammer is warned by Labour strategists that the return of Boris Johnson poses the biggest threat to the chances of him becoming Prime Minister Key swing voters from 2019 General Election increasingly discounting Partygate Instead they are placing more emphasis on Boris' leadership during Covid crisis Former Cabinet Minister Nadine Dorris said Tory Party will 'die' with Boris as PM www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11610091/Return-Boris-Johnson-poses-biggest-threat-Keir-Starmer-PM-Labour-strategists-warn.html
